Bonnie & Clyde’s Pools and Spas was founded in 1979 by Bonnie and Dave Aleksandrowicz when they moved south to Texas and discovered the one thing Texas lacked that was found in abundance up north: above-ground pools!
Because of the short swim season, affordable above-ground pools were commonplace in the cooler climate they hailed from. But, when they arrived in Texas, Bonnie and Dave (called “Clyde” by his friends, you might have guessed), realized there weren’t many good affordable pool options for Texans. You could find inexpensive, disposable pop-up style pools at discount stores, but other than that, if they wanted a backyard pool at the time, Texans had to spring for $35,000+ inground pools. There wasn’t a happy price point available between cheap and “Holy, cow, that’s a year’s income!”
Clyde figured Texas families would enjoy permanent above-ground pools as much as his family did, and the family business was born! Since then, for more than 4 decades, Bonnie & Clyde’s Pools and Spas has been serving the Fort Worth Metroplex and proudly providing the lowest, no-haggle prices on quality above-ground pools and spas. Our pools are vastly superior to those you find at bargain basement prices online and in the big box stores, but are also affordable for average, working families. Even if you want to sell your firstborn sometimes, you won’t have to in order to own a good above-ground pool.
Bonnie and “Clyde” found success on the principle that it was their job to not only provide great products at a great price but to also treat their customers as part of the family. That meant being there to provide unequaled customer service and support long after the sale. It also meant doing all they could to make sure other families enjoyed their pools and spas as much as their own family did. Which is why Bonnie & Clyde’s offers all sorts of extras, like free water testing and lots of educational resources, like free how-to seminars.

Today, Bonnie and Dave’s children, Jennifer and Dan, make most of the day-to-day company decisions. They cherish the fun memories they have of long, sunny days splashing in their own backyard pool as kids, and just like their parents, they love to give other families the chance to create those same kinds of memories. After all, each of us at Bonnie & Clyde’s Pools and Spas know we’re selling far more than pools, spas, and chemicals — we’re selling family fun!
