How Much Does a Swim Spa Cost?

DISCLAIMER: Due to the drastically fluctuating prices caused by inflation, post-pandemic supply shortages, and the usual rise in cost of goods, these prices may change at any time without warning. Please speak to our sales representative for current pricing information.

Are you in the market for a swim spa? A swim spa is an exceptional space for all sorts of aquatic recreation. But one of the first things you might want to know is how much a swim spa costs and what goes into the price of a swim spa.

Mid-size swim spas (14 feet) run between $27,000 to $30,000 as we near the end of 2022. Swim spa prices vary depending on the size of the unit, the standard and extra features on your spa, delivery and installation costs, and other factors. Let’s look more closely at the cost of swim spas.

Swim Spa Cost and Amenities

At Bonnie & Clyde’s, we offer high-quality 4-person swim spas and currently have the XL1400 by Four Winds® Spas available for immediate purchase in our stores. This swim spa is in the $27,000 to $30,000 range. This price includes delivery and everything you need to get started with your water workouts.

What’s Included in Your Swim Spa Cost

When you purchase a swim spa at Bonnie & Clyde’s, your purchase price includes several features and benefits — not just the spa itself. Our swim spa package currently includes:

  • All of the first chemicals you need to get your swim spa ready to use
  • Swim spa steps for convenient and safe entry and exit
  • Two swim spa covers
  • Two cover lifters — these are especially convenient for our single and senior customers, as spa covers can be heavy without a lifter!

Additionally, standard delivery of the swim spa is included, as long as we can drive directly into the yard. For those cases in which we can’t, a crane would have to be scheduled, incurring an additional cost.

Why is a Swim Spa Cost Different Than a Pool or Regular Spa?

You might be wondering why a swim spa costs, on average, more than a regular hot tub but less than a pool. It all comes down to size and features.

One of the reasons swim spas are generally higher than hot tubs is because swim spas feature powerful current jets and additional technology. These jets are adjustable, creating a flow strong enough to hold an adult swimmer in place while they swim. Jets can be set low for beginners or high for a pro-level workout.

However, swim spas can be used as ordinary hot tubs when you’re not exercising. You can relax and work out, all in the convenience of the same spa.

Swim spas also feature heat settings and massage functions like a hot tub. Swim spas are also much larger than the average hot tub — often twice its size — while being more compact than a pool.

Swim spas are considerably more affordable than inground pools for a number of reasons. First, there’s no excavation required. Second, swim spas are considerably smaller than swimming pools. Swim spas are the ideal option for those with smaller backyards or people who don’t want to devote the entire yard to a pool.

If you crave the great work out you can get swimming, plus all the benefits of both a pool and a hot tub, then a swim spa is the perfect option for you.

Bonnie & Clyde’s makes your swim spa shopping and buying experience easy and seamless. So, what are you waiting for? Check out our XL1400 swim spa at any of our Bonnie& Clyde’s stores or contact us today for more information.
