How Long Does it Take to Get a Hot Tub?

“How long does it take to get [insert item here]?” is the question heard around the world since the pandemic began with everything, including hot tubs. The answer is constantly changing depending on how businesses are staffed and what there may or may not be a manufacturing shortage of that week.

At Bonnie & Clyde’s Pools and Spas, we always aim to be as upfront and honest with you as we can be. The answer to this question will vary based on which hot tub you are looking at, but generally, it will generally take 2-4 weeks to get yours delivered and installed at your home. However, this delivery time is always subject to change, pandemic or not. Since you are already having to wait to receive it, let’s go through some tips to be sure you are ready when it arrives. That makes the wait time a little easier!

Plan to Order Your Hot Tub Ahead of Time

Since we know that almost everything is working at some level of delay, you should plan to buy your hot tub under the assumption that you may have to wait for it. While we do have plenty in stock at Bonnie & Clyde’s, the perfect one for you and your family may not be in the store.

If that is the case, you want to be sure you have plenty of time to order and receive it before needing it. If you do choose something we have in stock, you will just have the benefit of having it sooner rather than later!

Call the Electrician Once You Order Your Hot Tub

Once delivery day arrives, you want to be sure everything is ready to go so you can fill your hot tub up and start soaking. Calling your electrician as soon as you order will ensure there is time for them to arrive at your home and make sure the wiring is ready to go. You have waited long enough at this point! We don’t want you to have to wait longer once it arrives.

Be Sure the Path to Where Your Hot Tub Will Reside is Clear

This is probably the most important tip. Before your hot tub arrives, you can tape off the area to be sure you like that space best. It is hard to move a hot tub when empty and impossible if it is full of water. Making sure you have checked the space twice will prevent this struggle later.

You will also want to clear a path to this spot. The hot tub will need to fit through any gates you may have. You can also look at any landscaping around the area. If limbs or bushes need to be trimmed, do so before delivery day. This will ensure you are soaking in no time at all.

While there are many things that are out of your control when delays happen, these are things you can control.
